Esports Broadcast Director
ABOUT ME
Turning Ideas into Immersive Experiences
My name is Filip Krause, a former Valorant amateur player turned Esports Broadcast Director. Beginning my journey by observing collegiate Valorant competitions in the UK. Through interest and quick learning, I began shadowing local Esports broadcast directors, giving me enough knowledge to start directing my own broadcasts. With a childhood love of music and playing guitar daily, I became invested into mixing opening musical ceremonies for Esports broadcasts, which I had the chance to fulfill on a few occasions. I have finished my Esports Production BSc at Nottingham Trent University which propelled my broadcast interest even further.
In every broadcast I consider two things, the players and the audience. My role is to facilitate those parties and give both of them the best experience possible. It is through creative & immersive mixing, lighting and music together that a broadcast team can turn 10 world class players playing against each other into a spectacle the audience will remember for years to come. For players, this is their moment, their limelight; it is my mission to make them feel like they the main characters of the moment. I accomplish this by directing a show before a match, with musical opening ceremonies, walkouts and careful rehearsal can a true feeling off intensity and hype be created that is worthy of the best Esports players in the world.
Throughout my career I have worked with a variety of equipment, most notably, the production switchers I worked with include:
- Ross Video Touchdrive 2S with Ross Carbonite
- ATEM Constellation with Advanced Panel
- ATEM Television Studio
- Newtek Tricaster
- vMix
